About the role: As a LAIT911 incident analyst, you will monitor and manage active real-time incidents. Duties include sending emergency alerts, associating radio transmissions with incidents, creating new incidents based on live audio feeds, and verifying user-contributed data. Your specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Determining when to send emergency alerts for high-risk situations
- Associating radio transmissions with active incidents
- Creating new incidents based on emergency dispatch live audio feeds
- Providing additional context to existing incidents from data gathered via emergency radio, social media, or independent research
- Monitoring and verifying user-contributed data

Requirements: To be a successful LAIT911 incident analyst, you should have the following qualifications:
- A basic understanding of fire and police radio communication
- A desktop with an internet connection (our dispatch portal is not compatible with mobile devices)
- Attention to detail and integrity – providing accurate real-time information is critical for building and maintaining public trust
