Are you a compassionate and organized individual with a desire to help those in need during times of crisis? We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to individuals affected by natural disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, and earthquakes. We are seeking a talented and motivated volunteer remote disaster case manager to join our team and help us achieve our mission.
In this role, you will be responsible for helping affected individuals connect with resources and support in the aftermath of a natural disaster. Some examples of tasks you may be asked to work on include:
- Assessing the needs of affected individuals and creating individualized case management plans to help them access necessary resources and support.
- Connecting affected individuals with community resources such as emergency shelters, food assistance programs, and medical care.
- Coordinating with local and regional emergency management agencies and other partners to ensure that affected individuals have access to necessary resources and support.
We are looking for someone with strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with those in need. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with individuals remotely and be able to adapt to changing situations. Familiarity with resource databases and referral processes is a plus.
This is a volunteer position, with a flexible schedule and the ability to work remotely. While we cannot offer financial compensation, we can provide valuable experience and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by natural disasters.
